About the role
Six-month Corporate Banking internship in Paris starting January 2027. Intern Analysts support credit analysis, approval materials, exposure monitoring, client relationship development, and business origination while learning from experienced bankers. The role requires university enrollment, internship eligibility, French and English fluency, financial markets knowledge, and advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial and operational credit analysis using historical and projected client performance.
- Prepare credit memos for annual reviews and transactions, including M&A, DCM, ECM, and project finance.
- Monitor bank exposure and client profitability using Citi systems, producing concise analysis for the team.
- Research and present relationship-development opportunities across Citi products, including investment banking and treasury services.
- Develop banking relationships across Citi’s geographical network.
- Support bankers on ad hoc pitches, including acquisition financing and capital markets transactions.
Program structure
- Work with a Corporate Banking team throughout the six-month internship.
- Receive training and support designed to build knowledge and enable effective contribution to the team.
- Top-performing Intern Analysts may return to Citi after graduation as full-time Analysts.
Role context
- Corporate Bankers advise clients on cash management, capital structure, liquidity, funding, risk management, and investment solutions.
- The team works with Risk Management, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets Origination across Citi.
