About the role

Citi seeks a Placement Analyst for its Amsterdam Corporate Banking team during a three- to six-month placement starting between January and June 2027. The role offers training and practical experience in financial analysis, credit risk, capital markets, client presentations, product partnerships, and deal structuring within an international banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accounting, financial statement, cash flow modelling, and capital markets analysis.
• Complete fundamental risk and credit analysis.
• Liaise with product partners across the firm.
• Assist with presenting and developing new ideas for clients.
• Structure deals for Corporate Banking clients.

Team and training

• Join Citi’s Corporate Banking team in Amsterdam for the placement period.
• Develop understanding of capital structure, liability management, liquidity, funding, risk management, and investment solutions.
• Work with Risk Management, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets Origination teams.
• Receive training and support designed to build relevant knowledge and skills.

Candidate profile

• Currently studying in the penultimate or final year of a university degree in any discipline.
• Demonstrate strong academic performance.
• Show strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
• Demonstrate commitment to learning, personal growth, teamwork, and career development.
• Show integrity, ethical decision-making, interest in business, and desire to understand financial markets.
• Knowledge of the global or domestic business landscape is advantageous but not required.
