About the role

Citi is hiring a full-time Corporate Banking Analyst in Milan to support Financial Institutions coverage, including banks and insurance companies. The role involves financial analysis, credit assessment, capital markets analysis, client support and deal structuring, with formal training followed by on-the-job development and collaboration across Citi teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct accounting, financial statement, cash flow and capital markets analysis.
  • Complete fundamental risk and credit analysis.
  • Support Financial Institutions coverage alongside senior relationship managers and product specialists.
  • Liaise with product partners and contribute to client presentations and new ideas.
  • Assist with deal structuring and client dialogue on financing and investment solutions.

Program and training

  • Full-time Analyst program based in Milan, with a January 2027 start.
  • An in-depth training program begins in mid-July before joining the Milan team.
  • Training continues on the job and covers Corporate Banking fundamentals, risk and capital markets.
  • Work in partnership with Risk Management, Investment Banking and Capital Markets Origination.

Requirements

  • Be in the final year of university or have already graduated.
  • Achieve or have achieved 106–110 or above, or equivalent, at undergraduate level.
  • Any degree discipline is considered.
  • Demonstrate interest in business and a desire to understand the financial industry.
  • Have strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Show commitment to learning, personal development, teamwork, integrity and ethical decision-making.

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of the global or domestic business landscape is advantageous but not required.
