About the role

Citi’s Commercial Bank is seeking Summer Analysts in Milan for a 10-week program beginning June 2027. Analysts join a Coverage team, support Relationship Managers, analyse companies and industries, assist with lending and credit processes, prepare client materials, and learn how banking products support business growth.

Responsibilities

• Conduct company research, industry analysis, financial analysis, and modelling, including valuations, DCF, and pro-forma analyses.
• Support commercial lending transactions, including revolving credit lines, term loans, syndicated loans, leveraged loans, and cross-border loans.
• Partner with Bankers and Product teams to identify solutions supporting clients’ operational and expansion goals.
• Prepare business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memoranda, and other client-related materials.
• Support deal management and interact with product, credit risk, legal, operations, compliance, technology, and other teams.

Program and Training

• Join a Coverage team and work directly with Relationship Managers on a portfolio of clients.
• Begin with in-depth training combining formal instruction and hands-on experience.
• Receive ongoing sales, credit, product, technology, and professional skills training throughout the program.
• Participate in junior and senior mentorship structures supporting professional development.
• Learn about client coverage, credit products, underwriting, documentation, portfolio monitoring, and Citi policies.

Requirements

• Due to graduate in 2028.
• On course to achieve a Laurea with a grade of 94 or higher, or equivalent undergraduate qualification.
• Degree discipline may be any subject.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in business and enthusiasm for partnering with stakeholders.
