Banking, Commercial Banking, Summer Analyst, Amsterdam - The Netherlands 2027

About the role

Citi’s 10-week Commercial Banking Summer Analyst Program in Amsterdam starts in June 2027. Analysts join a Coverage team, support Relationship Managers, research companies and industries, analyse financial data, assist lending and client work, and learn commercial banking products, credit processes, and client coverage through training and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct company research, industry analysis, financial analysis, and modelling, including valuations, discounted cash flow, and pro forma analyses.
• Support commercial lending across revolving credit lines, term loans, syndicated loans, leveraged loans, and cross-border loans.
• Prepare business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memoranda, and other client-related materials.
• Partner with Bankers and Product teams to identify solutions supporting clients’ operational and expansion goals.
• Work with product, credit risk, legal, marketing, operations, compliance, and technology teams across Citi.

Program and Learning

• Join a Coverage team for the program, working directly with Relationship Managers on a portfolio of clients.
• Learn the target market, value proposition, and client coverage model for Citi Commercial Banking.
• Develop understanding of credit products, loan underwriting, structuring, documentation, origination, and portfolio monitoring.
• Receive training in sales, credit, products, technology, and professional skills, supported by junior and senior mentors.
• Gain exposure to Citi credit and regulatory policies, client engagement, and the commercial banking product offering.

Requirements

• Be due to graduate in 2028.
• Be on course to achieve a 6.5 or equivalent at undergraduate level, in any degree.
• Have an interest in business.
• Be fluent in English and Dutch.
