About the role

Citi seeks a Placement Analyst for its Amsterdam Corporate Banking team for three to six months, starting between January and June 2027. The role provides training and experience in financial analysis, credit risk, capital markets, client solutions, deal structuring, and collaboration with product partners.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accounting, financial statement, cash flow modelling, and capital markets analysis.
• Complete fundamental risk and credit analysis.
• Liaise with product partners across Citi.
• Assist with developing and presenting new ideas to clients.
• Structure deals and support client discussions.

Placement and Training

• Join Citi’s Corporate Banking team in Amsterdam for the placement duration.
• Receive training and support designed to build banking knowledge and skills.
• Work with Risk Management, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets Origination teams.
• Develop understanding of capital structure, liquidity, funding, risk management, and investment solutions.

Candidate Profile

• University student in the penultimate or final year, studying any discipline.
• Strong academic record.
• Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to learning, personal development, teamwork, and ethical decision-making.
• Interest in business and developing a deep understanding of the financial industry.
