About the role

Citi’s Commercial Bank is seeking Summer Analysts in Milan for a 10-week program beginning in June 2027. Analysts support relationship managers, research companies and industries, analyse financial data, assist with lending and credit processes, prepare client materials, and collaborate with product, risk, legal, operations, compliance, and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct company research, industry analysis, financial modelling, valuation, discounted cash flow, and pro-forma analysis.
• Support secured, unsecured, term, syndicated, leveraged, and cross-border commercial lending processes.
• Partner with bankers and product teams to identify solutions supporting clients’ operational and expansion goals.
• Prepare business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memos, and other client-related materials.
• Collaborate with product, credit risk, legal, marketing, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams.

Program and development

• Join a Coverage team and work directly with Relationship Managers on a portfolio of clients.
• Receive in-depth introductory training followed by hands-on experience throughout the 10-week program.
• Complete ongoing training in sales, credit, products, technology, and professional skills.
• Participate in junior and senior mentorship designed to support professional development.
• Gain exposure to client coverage, credit products, underwriting, credit monitoring, and Citi policies.

Requirements

• Due to graduate in 2028 from an undergraduate degree programme in any discipline.
• On course to achieve a Laurea with a score of 94 or higher, or equivalent.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Show interest in business and enthusiasm for partnering with stakeholders to achieve goals.
• Be fluent in English and Italian.
