About the role

Citi’s Commercial Bank seeks Summer Analysts for a 10-week program in Frankfurt starting June 2027. Analysts join a Coverage team, support relationship managers, analyse companies and industries, contribute to lending and deal processes, and help deliver banking solutions to commercial clients across local and international markets.

Program and Training

• Join a Coverage team for the full program and work directly with Relationship Managers on client portfolios.
• Begin with in-depth training combining formal instruction, hands-on experience, and professional development.
• Receive ongoing training in sales, credit, products, technology, and professional skills.
• Participate in junior and senior mentorship throughout the program.
• Develop knowledge of client coverage, credit products, underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and Citi policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct company research, industry analysis, financial analysis, and financial modelling.
• Perform company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, and pro-forma analyses.
• Support secured, unsecured, term, syndicated, leveraged, and cross-border commercial lending processes.
• Partner with Bankers and Product teams to identify solutions supporting client goals.
• Prepare business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memoranda, and other client-related materials.
• Coordinate with product, credit risk, legal, compliance, operations, technology, and other internal teams.

Requirements

• Be due to graduate in 2028.
• Be on course to achieve a 2:3 or lower at undergraduate level, in any degree.
• Demonstrate an interest in business.
• Be fluent in German and English.
