Citi’s Commercial Banking Summer Analyst Program in Frankfurt offers a 10-week placement beginning in June 2027. Analysts join a Coverage team, support Relationship Managers, analyse companies and industries, assist lending and deal processes, and develop through formal training, hands-on experience, and mentorship.
Program Details

- Training covers sales, credit, products, technology, and professional skills throughout the program.
- Participants receive hands-on experience and ongoing support through junior and senior mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Conduct company research, industry analysis, financial modelling, valuation, discounted cash flow, and pro-forma analyses.
- Support secured, unsecured, syndicated, leveraged, term, and cross-border commercial lending processes.
- Prepare business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memoranda, and other client-related materials.
- Partner with Bankers and Product teams to identify solutions supporting client funding and expansion goals.
- Work with product, credit risk, legal, operations, compliance, technology, marketing, and other firmwide teams.
Development Areas
- Learn the Commercial Banking target market, value proposition, and client coverage model.
- Understand client engagement, credit products, loan underwriting, structuring, documentation, and portfolio monitoring.
- Develop knowledge of Citi credit and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Gain experience working with clients, prospects, and centres of influence.
