About the role

Citi’s Commercial Banking Summer Analyst Program in Amsterdam offers a 10-week placement beginning June 2027. Analysts join a Coverage team, support Relationship Managers and work across Citi to understand client needs, credit, lending and banking solutions. The program combines formal training, hands-on experience and mentorship, preparing participants for commercial banking careers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct company research and industry analysis.
• Analyze financial data and perform valuation, discounted cash flow and pro-forma analyses.
• Support commercial lending, including revolving credit lines, term loans and syndicated loans.
• Partner with Bankers and Product teams to identify appropriate client solutions.
• Prepare business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memos and client-related decks.
• Collaborate with product, credit, legal, operations, risk, compliance and technology teams.

Program and Training

• Join a Coverage team and work directly with Relationship Managers on a client portfolio.
• Complete a 10-week program beginning in June 2027.
• Begin with in-depth training combining formal instruction and hands-on experience.
• Receive ongoing sales, credit, product, technology and professional skills training.
• Participate in junior and senior mentorship throughout the program.
• Develop knowledge of client coverage, credit underwriting, portfolio monitoring and Citi policies.

Requirements

• Be due to graduate in 2028.
• Be on course to achieve a 6.5 or equivalent at undergraduate level.
• Be studying any degree subject.
• Demonstrate an interest in business.
• Be fluent in English and Dutch.
