About the role

Citi’s 10-week Commercial Banking Summer Analyst Program in Amsterdam offers hands-on experience supporting Relationship Managers and clients. You will research companies, analyse financial information, model valuations, support lending transactions, prepare presentations, and collaborate with product, credit, risk, legal, operations, compliance, marketing, and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct company research, industry analysis, financial analysis, and modelling, including valuations, discounted cash flow, and pro forma analyses.
• Support commercial lending across revolving credit lines, term loans, syndicated loans, leveraged loans, and cross-border loans.
• Partner with Bankers and Product teams to identify solutions supporting clients’ operational funding and expansion objectives.
• Prepare business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memoranda, and other client-related materials.
• Support deal management and take ownership of the client experience throughout the coverage process.
• Work with product, credit risk, controls, legal, marketing, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams.

Team and Learning Outcomes

• Join a Coverage team and work directly with Relationship Managers on a portfolio of clients.
• Develop knowledge of Citi Commercial Bank’s target market, value proposition, and client coverage model.
• Learn how bankers engage clients, identify needs, and match credit products to those needs.
• Gain exposure to loan underwriting, structuring, documentation, origination, and credit portfolio monitoring.
• Understand Citi’s credit and regulatory policies and procedures.
