About the role
Citi’s Commercial Banking Full-Time Analyst Program in Madrid develops early-career talent through training and hands-on experience. Analysts support client coverage, financial analysis, lending, deal management, presentations, and product coordination for businesses with annual sales from $10 million to over $3 billion. The program starts in July 2027.
Responsibilities
- Conduct company research, industry analysis, financial analysis, and financial modelling.
- Support valuation, discounted cash flow, and pro-forma analyses.
- Assist with commercial lending, including revolving credit lines, term loans, and syndicated loans.
- Partner with Bankers and Product teams to identify solutions supporting client objectives.
- Prepare business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memos, and client-related materials.
- Coordinate with credit risk, legal, compliance, operations, technology, and other internal teams.
Training and Program
- The program begins with in-depth training in July 2027.
- Training covers sales, credit, products, technology, and professional skills.
- Analysts receive junior and senior mentorship throughout the program.
- Participants are matched with a Commercial Banking team based on interests and business needs.
- Training covers client coverage, credit products, underwriting, documentation, and portfolio monitoring.
- Analysts develop knowledge of Citi policies, regulatory procedures, and client engagement.
Requirements
- Currently in the final year of university or already graduated.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in business and passion for partnering with stakeholders.
- Spanish university graduates must have achieved Grade 7 or above.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
Preferred Qualification
- Portuguese language skills are desirable but not essential.
