About the role
Citi’s Commercial Bank seeks full-time analysts for its Madrid team, supporting businesses with lending, deposits, cash management, trade, foreign exchange, and capital markets solutions. Analysts research companies, analyse financial data, support credit processes, prepare client materials, and develop through structured training, mentorship, and hands-on experience starting July 2027.
Responsibilities
- Conduct company research, industry analysis, financial modelling, valuation, discounted cash flow, and pro-forma analysis.
- Support commercial lending, including revolving credit lines, term loans, syndicated loans, leveraged loans, and cross-border loans.
- Partner with Bankers and Product teams to identify solutions supporting client operations and growth.
- Manage aspects of the client experience and contribute to deal execution and client presentation preparation.
- Create business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memoranda, and other client-related materials.
- Collaborate with product, credit risk, legal, operations, compliance, marketing, technology, and other internal teams.
Training and development
- The programme starts in July 2027 with in-depth formal training and hands-on experience.
- Receive ongoing training in sales, credit, products, technology, and professional skills.
- Be matched with a Commercial Banking team based on interests and business needs.
- Benefit from structured junior and senior mentorship throughout the programme.
- Develop knowledge of client coverage, credit products, underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and Citi policies.
- Gain experience engaging with clients, prospects, and centres of influence.

- Coverage team members act as thought partners, delivering Citi solutions for local and international expansion.
