Services - Summer Analyst, China, 2027

About the role

Citi’s 10-week Services Summer Analyst Program in Shanghai offers hands-on experience supporting institutional financial services. After initial training and placement, analysts work on financial analysis, business development, client engagement, market research, process optimization, and client data analysis, with mentorship and networking opportunities throughout the program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research on industry trends and macroeconomic impacts.
• Develop materials supporting business development, product commercialization, and revenue growth.
• Assist process optimization initiatives that improve efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Analyze client data to identify opportunities and improve service offerings.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Participate in networking events, training, and leadership discussions.

Program and Development

• The program runs for 10 weeks and begins with one week of training.
• Placement considers your interests and Citi’s business needs.
• Gain hands-on experience through team-based projects and on-the-job learning.
• Access mentorship, career development sessions, and networking with senior professionals.
• Successful participants may be invited to return as full-time Analysts after graduation.

Candidate Profile

• Be a college junior graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Show proficiency in Excel, including data analysis, lookups, and basic modeling.
• Have working knowledge of PowerPoint and Outlook, with interest in financial services.
• Work accurately and autonomously while managing time, priorities, and detailed tasks.
• Demonstrate resilience, integrity, urgency, and commitment to learning in fast-paced environments.
