About the role
Citi is seeking an Investment Banking intern in Istanbul, starting January 2027. The role supports bankers with client materials and onboarding documentation, while providing exposure to capital structure, liquidity, funding, risk management, investment solutions, and collaboration across Citi teams. Training and supervision support development in the business.
Responsibilities
- Assist bankers with presentations, decks, briefing memos, and other materials for client meetings.
- Coordinate with relevant teams on new-client onboarding documentation for KYC purposes.
- Complete routine, standardized assignments under direct supervision and established procedures.
- Apply knowledge of routine work-area procedures and support a limited range of products or services.
- Assess risk in business decisions, protecting the firm’s reputation, clients, and assets.
- Follow applicable laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards; escalate and report control issues transparently.
Training and Team
- Work with Citi’s Investment Banking team in Turkey for the internship’s duration.
- Receive support and education covering relevant topics, role fundamentals, and Citi’s culture.
- Collaborate with Risk Management, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets Origination teams.
