About the role
Citi Japan’s Investment Banking 2027 Summer Internship is an eight-week Tokyo program scheduled from mid-June to early August 2027. It is open to eligible overseas-university students and Japanese-university students studying abroad on exchange in November 2026. Applicants must submit a PDF resume and complete an online assessment.
Program Details
- Eight-week internship scheduled between mid-June 2027 and early August 2027.
- Based at the Citigroup Japan Tokyo office.
Eligibility
- Open to overseas-university students expected to graduate between October 2027 and September 2028.
- Japanese-university students must be participating in an overseas exchange program as of November 2026.
- Japanese-university students without the specified exchange status should use Citi Japan’s domestic recruitment process.
Application Process

- Handwritten resumes are not accepted; applicants should refer to Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare template.
- Resume must include personal details, education, activities, language proficiency, study abroad, experience, certificates, achievements, and application reason.
- Applicants receive a web-based assessment invitation approximately five business days after applying.
- Applications are incomplete unless the online assessment is completed.
