About the role
Join Citi’s Middle East & Africa Investment Banking team in Dubai as a Placement Analyst for six months from January 2027. Support live M&A and IPO transactions, pitch preparation, industry research, financial analysis, valuation work, and financial modelling while working with senior investment bankers.
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior investment bankers on live transactions and pitch preparation as a junior team member.
- Support the development of investment banking pitch books.
- Assess company financial performance against industry and market trends.
- Gather and analyse company information, industry research, and financial data for transactions.
- Develop valuation analyses and financial models, including comparables, DCF, LBO, and merger models.
Team Focus
- The Middle East & Africa Investment Banking team advises corporate clients on M&A and IPO transactions.
- The team operates within the rapidly expanding Middle East & Africa region.
Requirements
- Available for six months, starting January 2027.
- Strong undergraduate academics, equivalent to a 2:1 or 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a proactive mindset.
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- Ability to contribute effectively within diverse team environments.
- Fluency in English.
