About the role

Citi’s 10-week Summer Analyst Program places students in its Asia Investment Banking team, supporting mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic financings. Analysts receive intensive training, rotate across industry or product coverage groups, build financial models, conduct research, prepare presentations, and coordinate transaction work with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze company information, conduct industry research, and organize financial data for transactions.
• Develop financial models, including company valuations, discounted cash flow, financing, and comparative analyses.
• Create and finalize business development presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate tasks with internal and external working teams throughout transaction processes.
• Prepare internal documentation covering control and compliance requirements.

Program and Development

• Complete a 1.5-week introductory training program before an 8.5-week coverage group assignment.
• Work across multiple industry or product coverage groups during the assignment.
• Participate in Citi’s mentorship program during and after the Summer Analyst Program.
• High-performing analysts may return to Citi as full-time analysts after graduation.
