Banking - Investment Banking, Summer Analyst, Hong Kong – APAC, 2027

About the role

Summer Analyst in Citi’s Asia Investment Banking team, supporting mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic financings for corporate, financial services, and public sector clients. The 10-week Hong Kong program combines intensive training with industry or product coverage assignments, transaction analysis, financial modelling, presentations, coordination, and internal documentation.

Role and Team

• Join Citi’s Investment Banking team in Asia as a Summer Analyst based in Hong Kong.
• Support sector expertise and strategic advisory solutions for corporate, financial services, and public sector clients.
• Work across industry or product coverage groups during the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze company information, conduct industry research, and organize financial data for transactions.
• Develop financial models covering company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, financing, and comparative analyses.
• Create and finalize business development presentations for client and internal use.
• Coordinate tasks with internal and external working teams.
• Prepare internal documentation, including control and compliance materials.

Program Details

• Complete a 10-week Summer Analyst Program starting in June.
• Undertake 1.5 weeks of in-depth training followed by an 8.5-week assignment.
• Participate in Citi’s mentorship program for additional training and guidance during and after the program.
• Top-performing Summer Analysts often return to Citi as Full-Time Analysts after graduation.

Requirements

• Be in the penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline.
• Graduate between December 2027 and June 2028 from a top academic institution.
• Demonstrate strong communication, planning, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Show commitment to learning, personal growth, career development, and client service.
• Demonstrate integrity, ethical decision-making, and a desire to understand the financial industry.
