Banking - Commercial Banking, Summer Analyst, China – APAC, 2027

About the role

Citi’s 10-week Commercial Banking Summer Analyst Program in Shanghai offers penultimate-year bachelor’s or master’s students immersive projects across relationship management, lending, client strategy, planning, KYC and controls, and process design. Participants receive training, mentorship, networking and development opportunities while gaining broad exposure to Commercial Banking in Asia.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work on tailored projects across relationship management, credit lending management and client segment strategy.
• Support business planning and analysis, Know Your Customer processes, controls and process design.
• Develop a broad understanding of Commercial Banking and Citi’s operational intricacies.

Program and Development

• Complete a 10-week program within Citi’s key businesses or functions for immersive project experience.
• Attend training providing essential skills, business knowledge and comprehensive orientation to Citi’s culture.
• Participate in buddy programs, networking events, speaker series, mentorship and structured development opportunities.

Commercial Banking

• Support a business serving mid-sized companies with lending, cash management, trade and foreign exchange solutions.
• Commercial Banking operates across 12 Asian countries and jurisdictions, with bankers, underwriters and client service staff.
• The program supports the pipeline for Citi’s Full-time Analyst Program.
