About the role
This 11-week Operations internship offers hands-on experience across the trade lifecycle, including clearing, settlements, corporate actions, collateral management, and shared services. Interns analyze business needs, develop and implement data-driven improvements, collaborate with global teams, and gain exposure to Citadel’s businesses, financial markets, and post-trade technology.
Responsibilities
- Own team-specific projects from analysis through implementation, using data to deliver measurable operational improvements.
- Manage essential processes across clearing, settlements, corporate actions, collateral management, and shared services.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a capstone project supporting a global strategic initiative.
Program Experience
- Work alongside global Operations teams and take on meaningful responsibility from the start.
- Solve real business challenges while developing a broad understanding of financial markets and the trade lifecycle.
- Gain exposure to post-trade technology and collaborate across Citadel’s businesses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, economics, finance, or another quantitative, technical, or business discipline.
- Proficiency in data analysis and foundational programming, including experience leveraging AI tools.
- Exceptional communication and project management skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into actionable outcomes.
- Detail-oriented, results-driven problem solver with strong intellectual curiosity.
