BTIG seeks an Equity Research Associate to support the Mortgage and Specialty Finance team in New York. The role involves financial modeling, primary research, and report writing to assist senior analysts and clients.

Responsibilities
- Prepare financial models for analysis and client recommendations.
- Monitor daily news flow and update senior analysts.
- Conduct primary research including surveys and interviews.
- Assist in writing detailed research reports and investment themes.
- Maintain relationships with company management and industry contacts as role develops.

Requirements
- 1-4 years experience in investment banking or equity research preferred.
- Strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to create and maintain financial models and forecasts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Compensation
- Competitive salary range $90,000 - $150,000 per year.
- Additional discretionary bonuses may be available.
- Compensation depends on location, experience, skills, and qualifications.
