About the role
Eight-month Winter 2027 Database Analyst co-op/internship in Toronto supporting data platform operations, database management, data integration, security, monitoring, production support, and cloud-based or on-premises platforms. The role is part of BMO’s campus program and is intended for students returning to their studies.
Responsibilities
- Manage data platform operations, including production support, monitoring, alerts, and issue escalations.
- Scale and standardize data functions across cloud-based and on-premises platforms.
- Establish production support processes, tiered support models, and operational best practices.
- Improve data flows, structures, tools, and processes supporting data management, analytics, and technology requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Enterprise Support teams to improve platform usage and operational results.
- Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework, policies, standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an academic program and returning to studies after the co-op or internship.
- Foundational knowledge of database design, database management, data integration, and analytical platforms.
- Foundational knowledge of data security, privacy controls, systems integration, and technology delivery management.
- Critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, systems-thinking, and technology-related skills.
- Verbal and written communication, collaboration, relationship management, change management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Motivation to learn; specialized knowledge from education or business experience is required.
