Data Scientist, Fall 2026 ( Co-op/Internship) - 12 months
This 12-month Data Scientist co-op internship in Toronto involves software development lifecycle management, coding, testing, and system maintenance. Candidates will translate user needs into technical specs and apply programming and cloud computing skills.

Role and Responsibilities
- Translate user needs into technical specifications and facilitate requirements gathering.
- Develop, test, and implement new software programs and document the software lifecycle.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault rectification of software components.
- Ensure code adheres to security, logging, error handling, and performance standards.
- Evaluate new technologies for system fit and impact on processes and risk.

- Assist in interpreting and documenting client requirements.
- Think creatively to propose new solutions and solve problems independently.
- Take measured risks aligned with the bank's Risk Management Framework.
- May focus on a specific business group or broader accountabilities as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
- Creative thinking and emotional agility with strong relationship management skills.
- Experience with quality assurance, testing, cloud computing, and microservices.
- Knowledge of programming, applications integration, and test-driven development.
