Business Analyst, Data and Change Management , Winter 2027 (Co-op/Internship) - 4 Months

About the role

Four-month Winter 2027 internship in Toronto supporting change management through data analysis, reporting, and visualization. The role combines business judgment with technical skills, including SQL, Python, advanced Excel, dashboard development, data storytelling, documentation, and collaboration with teams and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, analyze, and visualize data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights.
• Build reporting dashboards using appropriate data extraction, cleaning, visualization, and analytics techniques.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and improve existing data visualization systems.
• Document data flows, systems, and processes supporting business and reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with teams, management, and stakeholders to improve analytics usability and presentation.
• Develop reporting tools and training for non-analytical users of self-service analytics.

Requirements

• Experience with data management, data extraction, and analysis to determine the meaning and implications of data.
• Programming experience with SQL and Python, plus advanced Excel skills.
• Foundational proficiency in data visualization, data storytelling, data mining, insights development, and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, analytical, creative-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Typically requires three to five years of relevant experience and a related post-secondary degree or equivalent combination.
• Ability to work mostly independently, exercise judgment, and make risk-informed decisions within applicable policies.

Preferred Skill

• Power BI experience is considered an asset.
