About the role
Credit Analyst Intern supporting Commercial Banking lending decisions for a Seattle client portfolio. The role involves financial analysis, credit-risk assessment, loan structuring, portfolio monitoring, credit summaries, and client support. You will work with Relationship Managers and business partners while following bank policies, regulatory standards, and operational guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Analyze client financial information, perform calculations, assess credit risk, and recommend lending decisions to the Manager.
- Prepare credit summaries and support new, renewal, and extension loan structures aligned with client and policy requirements.
- Monitor assigned Commercial Banking portfolio performance, compliance, metrics, industry trends, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Support proposals, presentations, service requests, business acquisition, cross-selling, and long-term client relationship development.
- Maintain accurate data in BMO systems, use analysis tools, and evaluate client returns and portfolio growth opportunities.
- Apply credit policies, regulatory standards, operational guidelines, and the Risk Management Framework to protect bank assets.
