Four-month Commercial Banking Credit Analyst Internship in Halifax, supporting lending decisions for new and existing commercial banking clients. Interns perform financial analysis, credit assessments, portfolio monitoring, and credit-summary preparation while working with experienced Commercial Bankers. Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis, credit assessments, calculations, and recommendations for an assigned commercial client portfolio.
  • Prepare detailed credit summaries supporting creditworthiness assessments, lending decisions, proposals, and presentations.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, compliance, industry trends, metrics, risks, opportunities, and required corrective actions.
  • Structure and support new, renewal, and extension loans in line with client needs and bank policies.
  • Build client relationships, respond to service requests, and identify revenue, cross-selling, and share-of-wallet opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate system data while supporting portfolio growth, client returns, service quality, and risk-policy compliance.
