About the role
Four-month Winter 2027 internship in Victoriaville supporting personal banking clients. Responsibilities include recommending banking and investment solutions, handling transactions, identifying referral opportunities, supporting branch operations, and following risk and compliance requirements. Fluency in French and English is required to support clients and team members inside or outside Quebec.
Responsibilities
- Welcome clients, understand their needs, and recommend suitable personal banking, investment, and credit card solutions.
- Process banking transactions and guide clients toward convenient digital and self-service options.
- Collaborate with branch partners to identify referrals and expand client relationships beyond personal banking services.
- Support branch operations, including inventory management, service escalations, client follow-ups, filing, and opening or closing activities.
- Contribute to branch results and customer experience through consultative conversations, promotional offers, and continuous improvement.
- Follow risk, compliance, legal, privacy, anti-money-laundering, and ethical requirements while protecting client and bank assets.
Requirements
- Fluency in French and English to support clients and team members inside and outside Quebec.
- Consultative sales or customer-service experience, with strong motivation to provide personalized client experiences.
- Comfort using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to listen, build client relationships, approach clients confidently, and adapt creatively to new challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively, perform varied tasks, analyze issues, and escalate matters when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- One to two years of relevant professional experience and/or certification in a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Canadian authorization to sell investment products, already obtained or being completed within twelve months.
- Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions for referring clients to specialists.
