Personal Banking Associate, Winter 2027 (Co-op/Internship), Magog - 4 months

About the role

Four-month Winter 2027 co-op/internship supporting BMO customers at the Magog branch. The Personal Banking Associate provides everyday banking guidance, identifies customer needs, recommends suitable solutions, supports transactions and branch operations, develops referrals, and contributes to customer experience and business results while following risk, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, identify needs, and provide personal banking, credit card, investment, and digital banking guidance.
• Complete customer transactions accurately and support applications, escalated service requests, filing, inventory, and branch opening activities.
• Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities beyond personal banking and refer customers to specialists.
• Contribute to branch results, customer experience improvements, marketing conversations, and needs-based financial discussions.
• Work across branches or channels as market needs require, with variable days, hours, and shifts.
• Follow risk, compliance, privacy, anti-money-laundering, legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant experience or certification is desirable; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Investment-product registration must be completed or in progress and completed within 12 months, where applicable.
• Experience in consultative customer service or sales, with a commitment to personalized customer experiences.
• Comfort using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
• Resourceful, confident, flexible, results-focused, and able to work collaboratively in a consultative sales environment.

Program Details

• Four-month co-op/internship based at 498 rue Principale ouest, Magog, Quebec.
• Winter 2027 program; work may occur across multiple branches or channels according to market needs.
• Training and coaching, manager support, and network-building opportunities are available.
