About the role

BMO’s four-month Winter 2027 co-op/internship in Toronto supports business operations through office administration, records, invoices, scheduling, communications, and issue resolution. Students gain practical experience through the campus program while supporting internal stakeholders, maintaining controls, and completing varied operational tasks within established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide office support, maintain records, enter database information, and administer filing systems.
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, travel arrangements, conference facilities, equipment, catering, and room setups.
  • Track budgets, capital expenditure invoices, work orders, office supplies, timesheets, and attendance data.
  • Prepare, edit, and distribute communications, presentations, reports, procedures, and other business materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement operational or workplace changes with minimal disruption.
  • Analyze routine issues, resolve discrepancies, escalate non-routine matters, and maintain appropriate audit trails and controls.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an academic program and returning to studies after the internship.
  • Demonstrated motivation and strong desire to learn are expected for campus program candidates.
  • Good verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to follow procedures, deadlines, controls, risk requirements, and applicable policies and regulations.
  • Certificate in Office Administration is desirable.
  • Knowledge of office equipment, transactional documentation, workflows, and business-unit procedures is desirable.
