About the role

Four-month Winter 2027 co-op/internship in Toronto supporting BMO’s Investment and/or Fraud Operations. The role processes transactions and service requests, prepares reports, analyzes issues, supports process and system improvements, and maintains regulatory and operational controls while collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support Investment and/or Fraud Operations by executing product, service, transaction, query, and service-request processes within SLAs.
  • Gather, format, and reconcile data and documentation for regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards, ensuring accuracy.
  • Analyze operational data, issues, and problems; provide insights, recommendations, timely resolutions, or escalations.
  • Follow documented policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, risk controls, and operational guidelines to maintain operational integrity.
  • Support change management and development or implementation of new and improved processes, systems, tools, and training.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, responding accurately to requests and maintaining service relationships.

Student Experience

  • Participate in BMO’s campus program to develop skills and knowledge for similar roles.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an academic program and returning to studies after the internship.
  • Good knowledge and experience using relevant systems and technology, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good understanding of business-unit products, services, processes, controls, risks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Good prioritization, customer service, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Good collaboration, team, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
