About the role

This four-month Winter 2027 co-op/internship supports private wealth office operations in Oakville through records, databases, invoices, meetings, travel, communications, supplies, and routine issue resolution. Candidates join BMO’s campus program and must be enrolled students returning to their studies after the placement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general office support, including filing records, maintaining databases, and administering documentation systems.
  • Track budgets, capital expenditure invoices, funding requests, discrepancies, and vendor-related accounts payable matters.
  • Coordinate meetings, audio-visual equipment, catering, room setup, conference calls, travel arrangements, and management itineraries.
  • Maintain office supplies, process work orders, and coordinate premises changes with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Prepare, edit, and distribute correspondence, agendas, presentations, reports, proposals, emails, and procedural updates.
  • Resolve routine inquiries and problems within established guidelines; maintain audit trails and escalate non-routine matters.

Program and Application

  • This Winter 2027 placement is four months and forms part of BMO’s co-op/internship campus program.
  • Students must be currently enrolled in an academic program and returning to their studies after the placement.

  • The campus experience includes BMO Academy learning, mentorship, student activities, and employee resource group networking.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge of general office procedures and office equipment, including photocopiers and printers.
  • Basic verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, and teamwork skills in a business environment.
  • General audio-visual equipment knowledge for training, demonstrations, maintenance, and troubleshooting is useful.
  • Office Administration certificate is desirable.
  • Complete standardized tasks under supervision and apply policies, procedures, controls, and risk-management requirements.
