About the role
Four-month Winter 2027 co-op/internship in BMO’s Private Wealth team in Halifax. The role provides office, administrative, documentation, coordination, budgeting, scheduling, database, communications, and issue-resolution support while working with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Students must be enrolled in an academic program and returning to their studies.
Responsibilities
- Provide office support, maintain records, enter database information, and administer operational filing systems.
- Coordinate meetings, travel, room setup, conference calls, equipment, office supplies, and premises changes.
- Track budgets, invoices, capital expenditures, work orders, timesheets, attendance, and vendor-related discrepancies.
- Support communications, procedure updates, change management, task assignments, and business operations.
- Analyze routine issues, resolve or escalate problems, maintain audit trails, and follow policies, controls, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support business objectives and operational changes.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an academic program and returning to studies after the co-op or internship.
- Submit a cover letter, resume, and unofficial academic transcript with the application.
- Relevant experience or certification in a related field is desirable, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of business-unit products, services, processes, controls, risk requirements, and regulatory requirements is desirable.
- Good verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills are expected.
- Knowledge of office equipment, routine procedures, transactional documentation, workflow priorities, and processing deadlines is desirable.
