About the role
Four-month investment distribution internship in Toronto supporting strategy, institutional, direct-channel, structured-solutions, or internal-sales teams. The intern will research markets, analyze performance, support sales initiatives, develop client materials, and contribute to projects that strengthen distribution, client relationships, and business effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Support strategic initiatives designed to grow and strengthen the investment distribution business.
- Research market trends, competitors, and client needs to provide relevant insights.
- Develop sales and marketing materials tailored to different client segments.
- Track and analyze distribution business performance metrics with team members.
- Contribute to client segmentation, product positioning, pricing, and channel-development projects.
- Prepare presentations, reports, procedures, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
Program Details
- Internship runs from May 3, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
- Candidates must be available for the full internship term, including onboarding and cohort activities.
- Students may gain exposure to Distribution Strategy, Institutional, Direct Channel, Structured Solutions, or Internal Sales.
- Program includes mentorship, student activities, BMO Academy learning, and access to employee resource groups.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an academic program and returning to studies after the internship.
- Technical-field education is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
