2027 Strategic Partners Spend Management Team (SMT) Summer Analyst

About the role

Blackstone’s 10-week, in-person Summer Analyst Program places analysts on the Strategic Partners Spend Management Team in Nashville. The role supports purchasing-platform deployment across portfolio companies through spend analytics, reporting, project management, negotiations, eSourcing, Salesforce administration, and collaboration with investment, operations, procurement, and vendor teams.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio companies through project-management calls involving affiliates, preferred vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Identify engagement opportunities, manage vendor introductions, and support purchasing-platform project execution.
• Analyze key initiatives across the GP Stakes portfolio and respond to data requests.
• Use Salesforce to manage portfolio data, track procurement projects, develop enhancements, and maintain contacts.
• Support group purchasing initiatives across procurement, IT, HR, marketing, operations, finance, and other functions.
• Interface with more than 75 purchasing vendor partners to help ensure performance and resolve issues.

Program Experience

• Gain exposure to value-creation initiatives across industries and regions throughout the 10-week program.
• Receive mentorship, continuous feedback, and technical and soft-skills training.
• Network with professionals across Blackstone and experience the firm’s working culture.
• Work with Strategic Partners, GP Stakes investment professionals, Portfolio Operations, affiliates, portfolio companies, and vendors.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student with an anticipated Fall 2027 to Spring 2028 graduation.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills, communication, interpersonal abilities, and project-management capabilities.
• Have general business knowledge, including experience analyzing financial data and operating metrics.
• Be motivated, resourceful, collaborative, client-focused, receptive to feedback, and committed to professional integrity.
• Be familiar with data-visualization tools including Microsoft PowerPoint, Tableau, and Power BI.
