About the role
Summer Analyst in Blackstone’s Government Relations team in Washington, DC, with periodic travel to the NYC office. The role supports research, monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of legislative, regulatory, political, and policy developments, while contributing to policy memos, communications, briefing materials, presentations, government-official visits, and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze federal, state, and local legislative, regulatory, political, and policy developments.
- Prepare policy memoranda, briefing materials, written analyses, and external communications for internal stakeholders.
- Edit and develop written documents, messaging, grassroots content, and thought-leadership materials.
- Support presentation development and prepare for visits with federal, state, and city government officials.
- Collaborate closely with Government Relations advisors and contribute to special projects.
- Distill complex technical information into clear messages for policy and regulatory audiences.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong professional integrity, drive, sound judgment, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Be proactive and resourceful, effectively multitask, and focus on delivering results.
- Have successful professional relationship-building and policy advocacy experience.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Show interest in public policy, politics, government, regulatory affairs, economics, communications, law, or a related field.
