About the role

Join Berenberg's Equity Capital Markets team in Frankfurt for a 3-6 month full-time internship starting Q1 2027. Gain hands-on experience in ECM transactions across Continental Europe, working closely with senior management and industry leaders.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support live ECM transactions including IPOs, capital increases, and secondary placements.
  • Coordinate projects with company management, syndicate banks, legal counsels, and investors.
  • Assist in due diligence, prospectus drafting, and related transaction tasks.
  • Develop presentation materials such as pitch books and marketing documents.
  • Collaborate continuously with senior management across all tasks.
  • Conduct detailed analyses on companies and sectors.

Team and Environment

  • Interact with Origination and Equity Syndicate teams.

Candidate Requirements

  • Top university degree in Economics, Finance, or Business with excellent academics.
  • Prior internship experience in investment banking or corporate finance, ideally ECM.
  • Strong technical expertise and early responsibility exposure.
  • Excellent analytical skills and focus on high-quality output.
  • Impeccable communication and strong team player mindset.
  • Full professional fluency in English required.
