Role and responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software supporting business, platform, and technology capabilities.
  • Deliver scalable, maintainable, secure, and performance-optimised software using industry-aligned tools and programming languages.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and solution strategies.
  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, unit testing, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Apply secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
  • Manage risks, follow relevant policies and controls, and escalate policy or procedure breaches appropriately.

Programme details

Requirements

  • Be a recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate with a strong degree or expected degree.
  • Have achieved, or expect to achieve, the degree before June 2027.
  • Demonstrate genuine interest in technology and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Show motivation and drive to deliver innovative software solutions.
  • Develop technical expertise and communicate complex or sensitive information effectively.

Work eligibility and application

  • Barclays accepts candidates requiring UK visa sponsorship who meet Skilled Worker visa eligibility criteria.
