About the role

Barclays’ 10-week Technology Analyst Summer Internship in London offers penultimate-year students hands-on experience on real projects across digital platforms, infrastructure, data and change. Interns contribute to technology design, innovation and solutions while collaborating with business and development teams, building technical awareness and understanding how technology supports global financial services.

Responsibilities

• Participate in designing and innovating products using modern technologies.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand needs and support development-team alignment.
• Develop change initiatives and innovative technology solutions.
• Work with peers and promote knowledge sharing.
• Analyse factual information, resolve problems and communicate complex or sensitive information.
• Manage risks, strengthen controls and escalate policy or procedure breaches appropriately.

Programme experience

• Spend 10 weeks working on real projects with meaningful responsibilities.
• Gain exposure to digital platforms, infrastructure, data and technology change.

Requirements

• Be in the penultimate year of university and graduating in 2028.
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in technology.
• Bring strong problem-solving skills and motivation to deliver innovative solutions.
• Develop technical expertise and apply acquired technical experience to assigned work.

Location and work eligibility

• The internship is based in London, at Barclays’ Canary Wharf hub.
• The internship runs full-time from June 2027 through August 2027.
• Barclays accepts candidates requiring UK visa sponsorship, subject to Skilled Worker visa eligibility.
• Candidates without sponsorship eligibility must already have full-time UK work rights for the internship period.
• Any return graduate offer will be based in the same location as the internship.
