About the role
Barclays’ 10-week Technology Analyst Summer Internship in Glasgow offers penultimate-year students hands-on experience on real projects across digital platforms, infrastructure, data and change. Interns participate in technology operations, product design, innovation and solution development while building technical awareness, problem-solving skills and industry connections.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the day-to-day operations of the technology function across multiple technology capabilities.
- Contribute to product design and innovation using new technologies.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand needs and communicate them to development teams.
- Develop change initiatives and innovative technology solutions.
- Work with peers and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
- Manage assigned work responsibly while following relevant policies, controls and conduct requirements.

Eligibility
- Applicants must be in their penultimate year of university.
- Applicants must be graduating in 2028.
- A genuine interest in technology is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and motivation to deliver innovative solutions are expected.
Location And Work Authorisation
- The role is based at Barclays’ Glasgow campus, with hybrid working opportunities.
- Barclays accepts applicants requiring UK visa sponsorship who meet Skilled Worker visa criteria.
- Applicants without sponsorship eligibility must have full-time UK work rights from June to August 2027.
