About the role

Join Barclays’ two-year Technology Analyst Explorer Programme in Northampton, gaining broad technology experience through three eight-month rotations. You will work across digital platforms, infrastructure, data and change, developing technical awareness, problem-solving skills and knowledge of how technology supports a global financial services business.

Role and responsibilities

  • Participate in the day-to-day operations of the technology function across multiple technology capabilities.
  • Contribute to product design and innovation using new technologies.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand needs and support development alignment.
  • Develop change initiatives and innovative technology solutions.
  • Work with peers and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Analyse information, resolve problems and advise stakeholders within your expertise.

Programme and training

  • Complete a two-year Explorer Programme designed to provide depth and breadth of experience.
  • Undertake three eight-month rotations across technology areas.
  • Receive bespoke, job-based training from the start of the programme.
  • Build experience across digital platforms, infrastructure, data and change.

Requirements

  • Be a recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate with a strong degree.
  • Have achieved, or expect to achieve, your degree before June 2027.
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in technology and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Show drive to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Work effectively with business teams, peers and other functions.
  • Apply technical knowledge while maintaining attention to detail and continuous improvement.

Work eligibility

  • Barclays accepts applications from candidates requiring UK visa sponsorship.
  • Successful sponsored applicants must meet Home Office Skilled Worker visa eligibility criteria.
  • Applicants without sponsorship eligibility must have the legal right to work full-time in the UK.
  • The required full-time work period is August 2027 to August 2029.
