About the role
Join Barclays in Glasgow as a Technology Analyst apprentice on a permanent, full-time programme. Support digital solutions, analyse requirements, collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams, and improve systems across the bank while earning a Business Management Graduate Apprenticeship qualification and salary from day one.
Role and responsibilities
- Participate in designing and innovating products using new technologies.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand needs and communicate requirements to development teams.
- Develop change initiatives and innovative technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues, share knowledge and support smooth operational delivery.
- Manage assigned work, strengthen controls and escalate policy breaches when required.
- Build stakeholder and customer relationships while supporting service and operational execution.
Programme and support
- Work full time in a permanent role while studying toward a Business Management Graduate Apprenticeship.
- Receive a professional qualification without student loan costs, alongside practical workplace experience.
- Be supported by a Programme Support Manager, People Leader and specialist-subject expert.
- The apprenticeship may change if another qualification becomes more relevant before commencement.
Requirements and eligibility
- Achieve SQA Highers at ABBB or equivalent qualifications.
- Meet applicable Government apprenticeship funding requirements for Scotland, including the three-year residence requirement subject to exceptions.
- Have the legal right to work for the full programme without gaps or reliance on future visa applications.
- Reside in Scotland from 1 August 2027 and remain eligible throughout the apprenticeship.
- Have no prior study, training, qualifications, relevant work-based learning or funding that prevents apprenticeship eligibility.
- Demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm, reliability and willingness to work hard and develop.
Application process
- Barclays will review applications before inviting eligible candidates to complete online assessments.
- Candidates will complete an eligibility survey after the online assessment stage.
- An in-person assessment day, including group activity and interview, takes place from October 2026.
- Barclays will provide the application outcome and feedback after assessment.
