About the role
Join Barclays in Glasgow as a Technology Analyst apprentice, supporting digital solutions, requirements analysis, stakeholder collaboration and technology delivery. You will work full time in a permanent role while earning an AI and Data Science Graduate Apprenticeship qualification, with structured support and a salary from day one.
Role and responsibilities
- Participate in the day-to-day operations of Barclays’ technology function across capabilities supporting customers and colleagues.
- Contribute to product design and innovation using emerging technologies.
- Analyse requirements, understand stakeholder needs and support technology delivery teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams to ensure integration and business alignment.
- Develop change initiatives and innovative technology solutions.
- Perform operational activities accurately, manage risks and controls, and escalate policy breaches when required.
Programme and support
- Receive a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary while working toward the apprenticeship qualification.
- Work toward an AI and Data Science Graduate Apprenticeship combining theoretical learning with practical workplace experience.

Application process
- Barclays will review your application and invite you to complete online assessments.
- Complete an eligibility survey confirming that you meet the apprenticeship requirements.
- Attend an in-person assessment day involving a group activity and interview from October 2026.
- Receive the application outcome and feedback after the assessment process.
Eligibility requirements
- Achieve SQA Highers at BBBB, including Maths and English.
- Meet the Government’s apprenticeship funding requirements applicable to apprentices in Scotland.
- Meet the three-year residence requirement, subject to applicable exceptions.
- Have the legal right to work for the full programme without gaps or reliance on future visa applications.
- Reside in Scotland from 1 August 2027 through the programme’s enrolment requirements.
- Have no prior study, training, qualifications, apprenticeship, relevant learning, or funding that makes you ineligible.
