About the role
Join Barclays’ 3–6-month London Off-Cycle Internship in Sales, Trading and Structuring. Intensive training leads into desk assignments, global-markets exposure and project-based work. You may research products, monitor markets, analyse data, support trade ideas and attend client discussions, developing communication, quantitative and analytical skills while gaining insight into a full-time Analyst role.
Responsibilities
- Research industries or products and provide summary information to your team.
- Monitor markets and help formulate trade ideas.
- Perform analyses using fundamental and technical data.
- Execute research projects supporting strategic decisions, presentations and reports for Global Markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and product development.
- Attend client meetings or calls with traders, salespeople and research colleagues.
Programme experience
- Complete intensive training to develop essential skills and knowledge.
- Undertake desk assignments focused on the intricacies of global markets.
- Follow a structured programme including project-based work.
- Gain more in-depth project exposure than through summer internships.
- Develop communication, quantitative and analytical skills through desk assignments.
Requirements
- Be in your penultimate or final year of a degree in any discipline.
- Demonstrate an interest in business or finance and curiosity to learn.
- Show resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Extracurricular activities may demonstrate these qualities.
Work authorisation
- Barclays accepts candidates requiring UK visa sponsorship, subject to Skilled Worker visa eligibility criteria.
- Candidates without sponsorship eligibility must have full-time UK work rights throughout the programme.
