About the role

This 10-week Barclays Risk Analyst internship in Glasgow offers penultimate-year students hands-on experience supporting risk monitoring, identification and decision-making. Interns conduct research, analyse data and financial models, collaborate across functions, communicate findings to senior colleagues, and build understanding of credit, market, operational, climate and treasury risks.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day risk operations by monitoring the bank’s risk profile and identifying, managing, and escalating risks.
• Conduct small research projects supporting risk identification and strategic decision-making.
• Prepare presentations and reports communicating findings to senior management.
• Review and challenge business propositions, supporting risk management and informed decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage business and client relationships with decreasing supervision.
• Use financial models and strategies to support risk decisions.

Programme Context

• Complete a 10-week summer internship based in Glasgow from June to August 2027.
• Participate in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.
