About the role

Join Barclays’ London Risk Analyst Graduate Programme through the two-year Explorer Programme. You will complete three eight-month rotations, receive bespoke job-based training, and develop experience across risk identification, monitoring, analysis, controls, and decision support. The role offers exposure to credit, market, operational, climate, and treasury risks within a global banking environment.

Programme Structure

• Complete the two-year Explorer Programme, designed to provide depth and breadth of experience.
• Undertake three eight-month rotations across the programme.
• Receive bespoke, job-based training from the beginning of the programme.
• Participate in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the bank’s risk profile and identify, assess, and manage risks.
• Conduct small research projects supporting risk identification and strategic decision-making.
• Prepare presentations and reports communicating findings to senior management.
• Review and challenge business propositions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Use financial models and strategies to support risk management and decision-making.
• Manage business and client relationships with progressively decreasing supervision.

Requirements

• Strong degree or expected degree achieved before June 2027.
• Analytical curiosity and sound judgement.
• Ability to use data and insight to understand and manage risk.
• Ability to make evaluative judgements from factual information, with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex or sensitive information and influence decision-making.

Work Eligibility and Application

• Barclays accepts applications requiring UK visa sponsorship, subject to Skilled Worker visa eligibility.
• Applicants without sponsorship eligibility must have full-time UK work rights from August 2027 to August 2029.
