About the role
Barclays’ Northampton Business Banking apprenticeship offers a permanent, full-time role while you work toward a Financial Services Professional Degree Apprenticeship. You’ll support small and medium-sized business customers through research, customer service, product development and financial analysis, earning £25,200 plus benefits from day one.
Role responsibilities
- Conduct research projects supporting strategic decisions, and prepare presentations and reports communicating findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior colleagues to support business initiatives.
- Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and support new product and service launches.
- Manage client relationships, answer product and service questions, process transactions, and resolve customer complaints.
- Develop and implement financial models and strategies supporting retail banking decision-making.
- Manage operational execution, customer service, risk, controls, and policy-breach escalation within defined procedures.
Programme and support
- Work toward a Financial Services Professional Degree Apprenticeship while gaining practical experience in a permanent role.
- Receive support from a Programme Support Manager, People Leader, and specialist subject expert.
- Participate in training and development programmes to build relevant skills and knowledge.
- The programme is open to school leavers, career changers, and applicants of any age or background.
Application process
- Barclays will review applications before inviting eligible candidates to complete online assessments.
- Candidates will complete an eligibility survey before progressing to the assessment stage.
- In-person assessment days include a group activity and interview from October 2026.
- Barclays will communicate the outcome and provide feedback after assessment.
