About the role

Barclays’ 10-week Customer and Digital Data and Analytics internship in Glasgow offers hands-on experience in advanced analytics. Interns analyse customer, product, and channel data, develop programming, modelling, and visualisation skills, communicate insights, and support better decisions, products, and services across the bank.

Role and responsibilities

• Conduct hypothesis-driven analysis of customer, product, and channel data.
• Complete research projects supporting strategic decision-making and business initiatives.
• Create data assets, presentations, and reports that communicate analytical findings.
• Identify opportunities and help develop business cases for new products and services.
• Translate insights into actions and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Customer and Digital.

Development and support

• Build expertise in programming, modelling, and data visualisation using leading platforms.
• Develop consulting skills including problem-solving, stakeholder communication, and insight translation.
• Receive tailored training, mentorship, networking opportunities, feedback, and volunteering opportunities.
• Participate in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.

Eligibility and work authorisation

• Applicants must be in their penultimate year of university and graduating in 2028.
• Bring enthusiasm, drive, problem-solving ability, and a solutions-focused mindset that puts clients first.
• Barclays accepts applicants requiring UK visa sponsorship, subject to Skilled Worker visa eligibility.
• Applicants without sponsorship eligibility need their own full-time UK work right from June to August 2027.

Location and application

• The internship is based at Barclays’ Glasgow campus, with hybrid working opportunities.

• A successful return offer would be based in the same location as the internship.
