About the role
Four-year, full-time Global Transaction Banking apprenticeship in Northampton, combining paid employment with a Financial Services Professional Apprenticeship. You will support research, product and payment-solution development, client service, transaction processing, and operational controls while collaborating across banking functions. The programme is open to school leavers and career changers meeting qualification and government funding requirements.
Responsibilities
- Execute research projects supporting strategic decisions within Global Transaction Banking.
- Prepare presentations and reports communicating research findings to colleagues and senior management.
- Support payment-solution development and end-to-end product management, including risk controls.
- Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and support new product and service launches.
- Manage client relationships, answer product questions, provide customer service, and process transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to business initiatives and operational execution.
Programme and Development
- Work full-time in a permanent role while studying toward a Financial Services Professional Apprenticeship.
- Receive support from a Programme Support Manager, People Leader, and specialist subject expert.
- Participate in training and development programmes to build relevant skills and knowledge.
- Build experience across transaction banking, client needs, products, markets, regulations, and related banking functions.
Eligibility
- Three A-levels at BBB or equivalent.
- GCSE Mathematics at grade 6 and English Language at grade 4.
- Meet applicable Government apprentice funding requirements for apprentices in England.
- Have three years’ residence, subject to applicable exceptions, and legal work rights for the programme.
- Maintain uninterrupted legal work rights from enrolment through August 2031 without future visa dependency.
- Have no prior study, training, qualifications, apprenticeship, relevant funded learning, or disqualifying work experience.
