About the role

Ten-week Barclays Marketing internship in London for students graduating in 2028. Interns contribute to customer insight, branding, advertising, digital marketing, social media, events and sponsorship projects while developing analytical, creative, problem-solving and stakeholder-engagement skills. The programme includes training, collaboration across the bank and consideration for Barclays’ 2028 graduate programme.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct small research projects supporting strategic marketing decisions and business initiatives.
  • Prepare presentations and reports communicating research findings to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on marketing projects and wider business initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities and support business cases, product launches and service deployments.
  • Contribute to branding, advertising, social media, digital marketing, events, sponsorships and sales collateral.
  • Support client relationships, customer enquiries, transaction processing and complaint resolution under decreasing supervision.

Marketing focus

  • Explore how Marketing attracts and retains customers and clients and communicates Barclays’ banking benefits.
  • Gain exposure to customer insight, brand, content, digital channels, data and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.
  • Develop creativity, problem-solving, analysis and stakeholder-engagement skills through meaningful projects.
  • Understand how Marketing creates customer, commercial and brand impact across consumer, business-to-business and Group environments.

Programme experience

  • Complete a 10-week summer internship based in Barclays’ London hub in Canary Wharf.
  • Receive support, participate in training and development, and build connections with experienced professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the bank while gaining hands-on project experience.
  • Be considered during the internship for a place on Barclays’ 2028 graduate programme.
